Cycling4Change is working to raise money for two charities that each member of the team has a special place for. The team hope that their commitment to audacious challenges can help raise the profile of the charities, highlighting the good work that each of them do and importantly raise invaluable funds that can be spent helping those a little bit less well off than us!

  • WaterAid has been transforming lives for over 30 years. They provide water and sanitation to the poorest communities in the world and help influence policy and practice across the globe. The Challenges4Change team saw first hand some of the pumps and wells that have already been installed when in 2011 they cycled across Africa – in fact these pumps helped keep them alive.  Sadly millions of families still don’t have access to clean, safe water – WaterAid is working to change that.

  • Glad’s House works on behalf of the thousands of children that are forced to live on the streets of Mombasa, Kenya.  The kids struggle for survival, scavenging for food in bins and on rubbish tips, they are vulnerable and often exploited.  Having each spent a considerable amount of time in Kenya, witnessing first hand the horrendous living conditions of these kids, Glad’s House is close to the heart of the challenges4change team – ‘children with no home belong to us all’.

Clifford Ferguson, Chairman of Glad’s House said: ‘Everyone at Glad’s House is blown away by this group of young men who are yet again going to extremes to fundraise for charity! We’re very grateful that after their incredible 100 day cycle across Europe and Africa that, yet again, Glad’s is a beneficiary of their efforts! Gents, all of us in Kenya and the UK wish the best of luck for your huge challenge ahead!’
